IB Milwaukee's website has a custom programmed e-commerce solution that gives their customers the ability to order items from an extensive product line through a secure web portal. The customers can immediately pay for an order using a credit card or government purchase card, or they have the option of placing an order and putting it on hold for a supervisor to approve later.At any time, they are able to log in to their account and find out the status of an existing order, prior order, or request a credit. IB Milwaukee has a Fulfillment Service Program to warehouse data and literature for their customers. They also recently added an Allotment program. Their customer has the ability to allocate items which are then shipped to different facilities within their system. These items are then deducted from the total inventory count. The mission of IB Milwaukee is to assist blind and visually impaired persons in the greater Milwaukee and Janesville areas to maintain dignity and independence by making available meaningful employment that can support their current and future goals. It's not about being blind or disabled...it's about jobs, empowerment, and meeting customer needs. |
